I have always believed that community outweighs competition. My own journey in the wedding industry has been shaped by the mentors who took a chance on me, and nothing brings me more joy than investing in photographers who are serious about their craft.
I am deeply passionate about educating other photographers. Whether you are struggling to create motion and energy on a dance floor, trying to master cocktail hour—hands down one of the most challenging moments of the wedding day for most photographers, and one of my signature teaching focuses—or navigating high-end client communication, I want to share the exact methodologies that built The Perfet Photo into what it is today.

The Shadow-to-associate
If you're already an accomplished photographer who understands wedding day fundamentals and wants to work with me, you can enter as a second shooter and progress to associate from there.
The Reality
This is a genuine commitment. You'll be working alongside me on real clients and real weddings, which means showing up prepared, staying curious, and pushing your work to the next level. But you won't be doing it alone, I'm invested in your growth just as much as my own.
Path Two: Second Shooter to Associate (If you're already established)
Path One: Shadow to Associate (Starting from the beginning)
- Shadow — Observe real wedding days alongside me, learning timing, client management, and the realities of the work.
- Assist — Begin actively contributing on wedding days while learning flash, cocktail hour positioning, and how to think documentary. Compensation begins here and varies by engagement.
- Second Shoot — Shoot alongside me as a full contributor. Compensation increases as your skills and consistency grow.
- Associate — Shoot independently for The Perfet Photo at full rate if it aligns.
What You'll Need
To enter this program, you must already possess a solid foundation in photography and be comfortable shooting in raw. I'm teaching you how to become a wedding photographer—how to handle the specific challenges and moments that define our industry—not how to become a photographer.
Once you begin assisting or second shooting, you'll need your own mirrorless camera system and flash. You're investing in professional-grade equipment that allows you to deliver at the highest level on real wedding days.
All applicants must be based in or relocating to the Boston area.
Your Two Entry Points
Depending on where you are in your journey, you have two ways to enter:
Not every great photographer wants to build and manage their own studio, and that's exactly why associate shooting exists. I work with a select number of associates each year—photographers who understand my aesthetic, respect my standards, and can deliver the experience our clients expect.
This might be you if:
- You are an accomplished photographer who prefers to focus on the creative work without the overhead of running a business
- You value consistent, high-caliber bookings without the unpredictability of building a solo practice
- You want to contribute your skills to the wedding day without the demands of client management, editing, or post-wedding coordination
- You're an established wedding photographer who, like many of us, picks up other creative outlets—branding photography, real estate photography, non-photography work—and wants a way to earn extra income without taking on the full commitment of your own wedding client
- You are an established professional who has relocated to the Boston area and is building momentum in a new market
Associate positions are carefully selected each year. You must be based in or relocating to the Boston area.
