Plenty of factors play into the outcome of a shoot, and if you have a specific setting or idea you want to have executed, it is really important to share that with your photographer! For Chelsea and Mike, it was important that they had their engagement photos taken during the fall. While it wasn’t peak foliage season, we were able to capture the last of the changing leaves. The results were stunning! Because it was toward the end of the season, we captured a lot of gold-toned images and warm colors. In fact, it made this couple appear even more radiant in their autumn engagement photos!
Each season in New England can elicit some strong aesthetic associations, and as you can see here, these can play into a shoot really beautifully. Whether you envision delicate snowflakes, sandy beaches, bright blossoms, or changing leaves, I am happy to help cultivate the perfect imagery for your day. Or, if you are unsure about whether you want an autumn engagement, springtime wedding, or some other variety of shoot, you can always take a peek at other galleries to see what stands out. Then, make it your own! Draw from the love story between you and your partner. Reflect on your favorite childhood memories! We want your images to be as unique as you, your partner, and your love story.
When this couple first booked, they were quick to say they felt camera shy. That can be the case for a lot of couples, but feeling comfortable with your photographer and trusting the prompts can help you feel much more natural in front of the lens. As you can see, this couple rocked it!
Even with the cooler weather at the end of November, their bright smiles and warm energy helped set the mood. We opted to meet at Colt State Park to take photos by the shoreline and around the lawns. Wind blowing in from over the water added the perfect touch. Toward the end of our day, we were even visited by a flock of birds! Catching them take flight behind this beautiful couple was so memorable and made for some great laughs. It was such a pleasure to capture the sweet, earnest joy of these two as they celebrate their engagement.
