New England weddings are notorious for chic coastal elements and stunning fall foliage. The versatility of landscape throughout the region make it ideal for couples hoping to capture the natural beauty of rolling hills and changing seasons, or sandy shores and waterside views. I love that in working with Jillian and Blake, we were able to elevate this traditional, coastal setting to a romantic, retro wedding full of details that captured the essence of this couple’s vintage Hollywood vision.

Our morning began in the bridal suite of the Beauport Hotel. This gorgeous coastal accommodation had all the charm one would expect of Cape Cod! Bicycles with wicker baskets lined up outside and gorgeous sandy shoreline bordered the hotel. In keeping with this understated, traditional, romantic setting, the happy couple opted for elegant white florals and classic black and white color schemes. We added a touch of vintage flair to our getting ready photos with cherry red sunnies and an iconic red lips phone! I adored this infusion of personality. It made our images so much more vibrant and fun! Additionally, this stunning bride added delicate lace gloves to her romantic gown, encapsulating the retro, romantic imagery of this wedding. It was truly the perfect detail.
Following the getting ready portraits, this couple prepared for their nuptial exchange. The simple elegance of the ballroom and flickering white candles made this ceremony so sweet and timeless. Emotion swelled with this couple’s first look at one another down the aisle and touching, heartfelt vows.
Afterwards, guests were invited to enjoy cocktail hour and the signature drinks this couple had selected. Between the timeless old-fashioned, and iconic espresso martini, these details worked perfectly with the timeless, vintage elegance of this special day.
At the reception, loved ones regaled the newlyweds with tearjerking and heartfelt toasts. There was so much joy and laughter! Following dinner, guests were invited to try a variety of whoopie pies, complete with “doggy” to-go bags that featured the couple’s very own dog. Meanwhile, our bride and groom snuck away for evening portraits in their bridal suite. We had a blast with sparkling wine and the giddy debauchery of their twinkling honeymoon air. Jillian even changed into a sparkling jumpsuit for the dance party that took over their wedding reception! It was so much fun to work with this happy couple and immortalize their blissful special day.
