Some venues carry so much history and grandeur that they set the tone before a single detail goes up. Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, Connecticut is exactly that kind of place. When Corinne and Joe married there on July 23, 2024, they wanted something classic and sophisticated, and this historic estate delivered. I’m Nicole Perfetuo of The Perfet Photo, and photographing this timeless Connecticut wedding was a joy.
A Black, White, and Gold Palette
Corinne and Joe built their whole design around black, white, and gold. It’s a palette that never goes out of style, and it played beautifully against the mansion’s grand architecture. Exquisite florals brought softness to all that structure. Every detail was chosen with care, and it showed.
The Fashion
Corinne found her gown at Kleinfeld’s, and it was radiant. The dress captured her bridal elegance perfectly and suited the setting completely. Joe looked dashing beside her, and the two of them together were pure classic romance.
A Lawn Ceremony Surrounded by Family
Corinne and Joe exchanged vows outside on the lawn, with family and friends gathered close around them. The joy in that space was something you could feel. There’s something about an outdoor ceremony on a summer afternoon in Connecticut that just cannot be replicated.
Aerial Views of Wadsworth Mansion
I love bringing my drone along on wedding days, and Wadsworth Mansion was made for it. Drone photography let me capture the full grandeur of the mansion and the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Those aerial views gave Corinne and Joe a completely different perspective on the day they built, and they’re some of my favorite frames from the whole wedding.
A Reception in the Ballrooms and on the Dance Floor
After cocktail hour, the celebration moved into the mansion’s ballrooms and spilled outside onto a checkered dance floor. Corinne and Joe danced and partied all night. This is where Wadsworth Mansion really shines. The mix of beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces meant the whole day flowed effortlessly, with no scrambling and no compromises.
