Working with couples as they prepare for their wedding can be so much fun as they incorporate personal elements and balance tradition with modern trends. For example, these two had a gorgeous black tie wedding with a modern champagne wall! The entire wedding party dressed in black and white to compliment the bride and groom’s wedding attire. As a result, their portraits have a gorgeous monochrome palette. It is such a timeless effect!
For their special day, these two incorporated many classic choices for a timeless, luxury wedding. They exchanged vows at their church ceremony, and we were able to shoot some unique shots from the upper level of their church. Their traditional “first look” down the aisle was so tender!
Once they exited their ceremony, we were able to take portraits of the bride and groom all along their gorgeous venue. A beautiful terrace overlooked the water, setting the perfect scene for some breathtaking photos. It made such a beautiful background for capturing bridal details, too. My favorite was the sparking hair piece!
At the reception, guests toasted to the bride and groom and enjoyed the champagne wall. Some guests are even pictured enjoying cocktail hour and overlooking the newlyweds during our shoot! All of the joy and fun at their reception perfectly balanced the sophistication of their black tie wedding, and it made for the most memorable evening. It was such a joy to participate in this special occasion.
