Timeless & Romantic weddings

Julia and Cameron contacted me to book their couple’s session, saying that they envisioned a romantic, playful shoot. Their big personalities and contagious laughter made our time together so fun! Due to the sun setting early, we were able to capture golden light among changing leaves before transitioning to an evening couple’s session under moonlight.

We scheduled our shoot for November, then agreed to meet at Colt State Park. Fortunately, due to the mild winter, we were able to play in fallen leaves and enjoy the gorgeous golden hues of autumn. Balancing nature’s palette with neutrals and earth tones polished off our vision. Julia and Cameron also opted for some textured pieces that help the photos feel so lively and contemporary. In each still of their shining smiles, you can tell their love and amusement is genuine. Our time together felt so candid and playful.

Plus, with the early sunsets of winter, we were able to play around with the changing lighting and nighttime landscape. Capturing their photos under evening light with a glowing moon setting the scene was magical. It felt like we had stolen a page from a romantic drama. Our session captured their sweet embraces in a field under the stars, and it was as romantic to experience as the photos suggest! Even more, it was a great opportunity to shoot a true evening couple’s session! We were lucky to enjoy different lighting and landscapes to maximize on the “vibes” we wanted to curate.

All in all, Julia and Cameron’s playful, romantic session was hypnotizing as golden hour gave way to dusk and then to a shining winter moon. I was so grateful to share in their joy and laughter as we frolicked through fallen foliage. I will cherish these moments and the memories behind each photo!
